Font design exhibition

As anyone who has visited our warehouse will testify, we’ve got quite a collection of props and prints that we’ve designed and built for events, roadshows, exhibitions and goodness knows what else over the years.

So we decided to put some of the props to good use to brighten up the landing space in our Armley Head Office, and set about creating a fonts-themed installation celebrating the font designs that we’re inspired by, and use, each and every day.

Pulled together with some lovely old books on fonts, print design and typography, a retro scrabble board and an authentic 1960s typewriter (complete with original instructions and guarantee!), the display has been designed to give us all a chance to take two minutes away from our desks, and for any of you coming to visit us to leave us a message.

As part of the display, we’re taking votes for our top ten fonts for 2011, so if you’ve got a suggestion then let us know in the comments below.  We’ll post the results once the list has been compiled.
